'LOCAL FOODS FORUM' - IRON CHEF COOK-OFF

The 'Local Foods Forum' concluded with an exciting Iron Chef Cook-Off featuring Chef Jeff Andre, Biggs 155 Diner in Lakeport, and Chef Jeremy Zabel, Saw Shop Gallery & Bistro.  The chefs were given 45 minutes to prepare a dish using ingredients they first saw just 5 minutes before the competition began.  Their eight judges included four adults and four children.  The final scores found Chef Andre edging out Chef Zabel by only three points.

Julie Hoskins, Chic le Chef, organized the Cook-Off featuring locally grown ingredients.  She also kept up a lively banter with chefs and judges throughout the hour-long competition.

Chic le Chef prepared the lunch for the 'Local Foods Forum' using all locally grown produce.  Click here to see the 'Locally Grown Lunch' page and list of growers from whom food was purchased.
