IRON CHEF COOK-OFF HELD AT STEELE WINE'S HARVEST FESTIVAL


Above Susan Jen announces the Lake County’s bounty Iron Chef Cook-Off competition between two talented local chefs.

Above Julie Hoskins, of Chic le Chef master of ceremonies announces the secret ingredient - pears.  She explained how each chef was allowed to bring one member of their staff to tackle the challenge of taking a basket of local produce and turning it into a gourmet meal in 60 minutes.

Above Chef Mario Monroy from Chic le Chef  with sous chef Alexa Perdock.  Matt Young from the Saw Shop with sous chef Ashley Harrison pictured on the right. 

Both chefs utilize an array of succulent produce grown by local farmers in the contest.

On the right a judge tasted and took notes on one of the dishes created during the competition.

Pictured below is chef Mario Monroy along with his sous chef Alexa Perdock from Chic le Chef won the cook-off by one point.
